A love story between Bucky Barnes and his rifle. I adore both the characterization of Bucky as a card shark and the group dynamics within the Howling Commandos, and the narrative voice is just great.
Maybe it’s a little bit vanity, too, though--he’s on a squad with a lord, a scholar, a radio whiz, a bombmaker, a mustachioed wall, and Captain fuckin’ America. He’s in real danger of being slotted into sidekick territory, Steve’s pet buddy from back home, and maybe he feels like he has something to prove.

I want so much Jim Morita fic, you guys, and while this one is more of a short character sketch, I am in love with the voice and atmosphere, and the understated emotional hardships of being a Nisei soldier.
At the end of the letter, she'd written, I do not wish you to believe that we are ungrateful for the new homes that have been provided to us, yet I cannot help but to feel that giving up my son should have been enough sacrifice for any lifetime.

vylla-art has made a bunch of high-quality portraits of a bunch of MCU characters in what may or may not be an ongoing series. I found them because this great Jim Morita, but absolutely everyone looks great.

kaydeefalls recently scored a one-two whammy with an absolutely stunning Winter Soldier vid and an amazing 9K fic that works as a companion piece. Both are super, super worth your time, but I want to heap praises on her vid, "The Hymn of Acxiom." I do not often dip my toe in the vidding world, but this one just floored me, from the gorgeous and unexpected Vienna Teng song to the incredible emotions kaydeefalls conjures with footage from both Captain Americas and The Avengers. Beyond worth your time.

talitha78's problem bills itself as a Steve/Bucky vid, but honestly, it's mostly about how terrifyingly badass they both are, with a really kickass song to go with.
